What can you expect when you come?

You'll find the atmosphere festive and welcoming. The services kick off with about 15-20 minutes of singing, with words projected up front to make them easier to follow. Our band leads worship with guitars (electric & acoustic), drums, keyboards, bass. The singing is followed by a few brief announcements highlighting upcoming ministry events and classes. At this point we pause briefly to take an offering (first-time guests should feel no obligation to participate.) Then we listen to a message developed from the Bible that's intended to be easy to understand and practical as well. After the message, we regularly take time for communion (also called the Lord's Supper - a sacramental celebration) for those who want to. Then we'll continue our worship through song and prayer. The 75-90 minute service concludes with an opportunity for anyone who wants to receive prayer for any need in their life. Following the service, our guests are invited to enjoy relaxed conversation and light refreshments provided by one of the small groups in the church.

What happens with the kids?

We're convinced church should be fun, safe, and filled with God's presence. Kids should learn to experience God at their level, become equipped to pray, and learn to trust in God for themselves. Consequently, we've designed our worship services for kids with these kinds of goals in mind.

All of our children’s & youth ministry programs and activities are supervised by caring, safe leaders (all of our leaders are screened). We understand that your children are precious, and we take very seriously the trust you place in us by allowing your children to participate in our programs. Parents are always welcome to join in and observe any of the activities or classes.

Children's Ministry:

Birth — 2 years old can go to their age appropriate rooms (located downstairs) before the start of the celebration, or anytime during it. There is also a nursing mom’s room available at the rear of the sanctuary.

3 years old - 5th grade leave for their activities about 30 minutes into the service, shortly after opening worship . Parents should sign their children in at the check in table downstairs.

The older children (kindergarten - 5th grade) participate in a program called Promiseland.
With the help of our committed volunteers, Promiseland provides a safe environment where children can enjoy great learning and loving relationships. Promiseland includes Bible lessons that are age-appropriate, interactive and relevant to today's children, as well as large group dramas and small groups.

Youth Ministry (visit our web site):

Each youth ministry program is welcoming, engaging, relevant to students’ lives, and happens after opening worship in the ministry center across the street . All programs are also optional, as young people are welcome to fully participate in the main service.

Middle School (6th - 8th graders)

we meet each sunday during the celebration after opening worship for lovereflectrespond. it’s a chance to relax and get to know God. we have fun together, we read the bible together, and we pray together. please join us -- there’s no pressure, you’ll meet good friends, discover how awesome loving Jesus is, and maybe even score some candy.

High School (9th - 12th graders)

Bible, etc. happens at weekend celebrations after opening worship. It’s a chance to find lasting truth in a relaxed setting.

Nursing Mom’s room

For moms who prefer to care for their infants themselves, we have a quiet and comfortable nursery located at the back of the sanctuary that is available for you and your nursing baby. You can watch and listen to the Celebration through a large window.

What's the clothing culture?
For years, we've told people to "come as you are." That means you don't have to dress up to come to a worship service. Because the Vineyard is very casual, you'll feel comfortable in your jeans and t-shirt. Some folks prefer to dress up, and they fit right in as well. The point is that we feel church should be about things other than how you dress and look.
