The Compassion Ministry seeks to bless the less privileged by meeting practical needs for food and clothing, while preserving dignity, with the anticipation that Jesus will use us to create breathing room for those we serve to experience the Holy Sprit working in their lives and hearts.
Help Without Question
No documents are required. We need only minimal information in order to satisfy the agencies from which we get our supplies.
Food
You may come to the ministry center (across the street from the church, at 120 Hack Street) on Saturday anytime between 10:00 AM and 12:00 PM to shop (don't worry, everything's free!) for the food items you need that we may have that Saturday.
Clothing
The Clothes Closet is open most Saturdays. You may visit the closet on the Saturday on which your visit happens to fall.
Prayer
God is our provider. Experienced Compassion Servers are available to talk and pray with you.
Fellowship
Feel free to meet with fellow guests while you enjoy the snacks frequently provided by the Compassion Servers.

Interested in helping out?
You can help in a variety of ways, from making donations (if you come to a weekend celebration, make sure to grab a yellow bag from the lobby and fill it up on your next trip to the grocery store), to sorting and unpacking food on Friday mornings (9:00 a.m.) , to serving and caring for our guests on Saturdays (9:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in the ministry center). The ministry team is always happy to teach you what they've learned, so don't worry if you feel inexperienced or unqualified. Please contact the church office at 734.439.2400 for more information.
